Practice-led Finnish degrees with compulsory work placements, in ICT, engineering, business and health, taught in English in Tampere.
Overview
Nordic University of Applied Sciences follows the Finnish applied sciences model: degrees are built around practical projects and include a compulsory work placement of several months. That placement is the defining feature — students graduate with documented, assessed professional experience rather than only academic credit.
English-taught degrees are concentrated in ICT, international business, engineering and nursing. Admission runs through the national Studyinfo portal and includes an entrance examination.

Deadlines differ by programme
Tuition scholarships covering 50–100% of fees are available to non-EU/EEA students and are decided as part of the admission result. Continuation depends on completing the required credits each academic year. No scholarship is confirmed before an admission decision is issued.
Scholarship awards are decided by the university on the basis of your application. No agency can promise one in advance.
On campus
A modern campus with engineering workshops, laboratories, a simulation facility for health programmes, extensive group study space and a subsidised student restaurant. Student housing is provided by the local housing foundation.
Student union membership brings subsidised meals, transport discounts and healthcare access. Tutor students are assigned to each new international arrival before they land.
